The Eximia Awards is aimed to be the most prestigious awards in Nigeria with a vision of rewarding excellence from the grassroot. 

The awards which will be awarded annually to persons or organizations of Nigerian origin, for their efforts and actions in human development, capacity building, leadership, creativity and Noble achievements will be premiered at Adim on the 1st of January 2022. 

The 2021 maiden edition of the first Eximia Awards, is co-hosted by the Adim Concern Youths (ACY) an organization which core values is centered on human development and capacity building and eyeAfric Media, a media company which promotes Africa’s traditions, cultural heritage and lifestyle across the globe.

“Eximia” a Latin word when translated into English means Eminent, excellent, extraordinary, exceptional, superb; is coin out to define the true meaning of the Awards and what it’s stand for.

On the 2021 maiden edition of the awards which is slated for 1st of January, has a list of notable and exceptional sons and daughters of Biase as nominees.

This nominees are leaders and great achievers in their respective chosen profession and career, and have contributed directly or indirectly to the sustainable growth and development of Biase Local government area.

They have been carefully selected as nominees for different categories of the prestigious 2021 Eximia Award.

The Nominees are:

Hon Mrs Ada Charles
The Eximia Award Nominee for Ace Of Initiative Award

Hon Mrs Ada Charles, who is currently the first female Chairman of Biase Local Government Council, is a woman of substance with great achievements. She through her foundation have shown love and kindness through different donations and supports to women, children and the aged across Biase. She has proven without doubt to be a strong leader, determine and focus driven Biase woman.

Bar Ijom Ukam Charles
The Eximia Award Nominee For Most Youth Friendly Appointee award

Barrister Ijom Ukam Charles is a proud son of Biase, a practicing lawyer who is currently the special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Judiciary matters. He is an addent youths activist who will stop at nothing to see Biase youths being carried along, he has no special treatment to selected few but is accommodating to every person who knows him or approach him.

Hon Sunday Ekpo
The Eximia Award Nominee for
Best Team Leader Award.

Hails from Abiakpan Community of Biase LGA. He is an exceptional fellow and the founding Director of The voice Of Biase, an organization which aimed is to protect the socio- cultural and political future of the Biase people. He has shown exceptional leadership skills leading and keeping together an organization of that magnitude together.

Mr Daniel Enang
The Eximia Award Nominee for Emerging Leader award

Mr Daniel Enang is a native and son Of Betem Community in Biase, he has proven to be a silent achiever and have constantly display his leadership qualities at every chance given. Currently the Secretary of Biase Local government Council, Mr Daniel Enang have constantly been in an active role in the leadership structure of Biase Local government area, since his first appointment as Personal Assistance Admin to Hon Dr Emil Iyang.

Engineer, Egan Adat 
The Eximia Award Nominee for Spot Light  award

Engineer Egan Adat, is a Electrical Electronics Engineer, A data scientist and business Analyst, the founder of The Citadel Care Home, home for the aged. a committed woman who has constantly proven to be dependable and exceptional. A native of Ikot Ana from the Umon Clan of Biase LGA. She has played key roles in the support of human development and sustainable growth. To many who have interface with her, she’s extraordinary, hospitable and ambitious. She’s currently the Senior Special Adviser  Business and development to the Chairman of Biase LGA.

Barr. Lawson Ekpe
The Eximia Award Nominee for Ace Alliance award

Barrister Lawson Ekpe, hails from Adim Community and currently the vice Chairman of Biase Local government area. He is an astute Community leader and also a community development activist who has constantly shown his support and contribution towards a better and develop Biase.

ICAW which is an acronym for the words International Conference of Adim Workers is an organization that encourage human development, capacity building and also support excellence performance.

Barr. Bassey O. Bassey

Barr. Bassey O. Bassey is an exceptional leader and a practicing lawyer, who has exhibited his unique leadership prowess in key positions and areas of life. A principal partner with the Packers Chambers, Director Maritime Services Nig Ltd, Director Fortune Global shipping both in Houston and in Nigeria, member international bar Association and host of others. He is a philanthropist and also human capacity building enthusiasts.

PROF AJAH EKPENI OBIA
THE EXIMIA AWARD NOMINEE FOR THE LEGACY AWARD

Professor Ajah Obia is a scholar of great repute. His scholarly contributions to the development of education and the society is found in his multiple published journals where he shared theories and principles to help human development. He is from Adim Community of Biase LGA. A staunch politician, a former House Of Reps member and an activist who will stop at nothing to ensure a better society. His legacies are numerous.

Chief. Offu Aya
The Eximia Award Nominee for Prime Performer Award.

Hon (Chief) Offu Aya is a two time serving commissioner in Cross River State. He was the former commissioner for ICT and currently the commissioner for Sport and cinematography. He is a native of Etono central of Biase. His exceptional performance as the commissioner for ICT grant him an automatic seat as a commissioner in the second tenure of the Governor of Cross River State. He has, in numerous ways contributed to the sustainable development and growth of Biase.

Mr Chris Sam
The Eximia Award Nominee for Impact award

Mr Chris Sam hails from Betem Community of Biase Local government area, he is a professional member of the Institute of information management Africa (IIMA), a social entrepreneur, and the Executive director/founder of Entrepreneurs Corner, a social networking platform where entrepreneurs across Africa connect, network and collaborate for sustainable development and growth. He is also the Special Adviser on Media to The Biase LGA Chairman, Hon Mrs Ada Charles. His works and contributions have created impact across Nigeria. He has mentored and Coach successful practicing entrepreneurs who have visible prove to his exceptional mentoring skills.

Mr. Kennedy Okoi

Mr Kennedy Okoi is a native of Adim, works with the Niger Delta development commission. He is a strong promoter and supporter of youth inclusion in democratic leadership. He is passionate in youth development and growth which makes him a strong advocate for youth development.

Chief Uno Ulong is an exceptional business man, who has successfully created chains of businesses. He is a native of Abayong, Through his business activities, he has contributed towards the sustainable growth and development of Biase. Mr Owai Obo

Media Personality of the Year

Owai Obo hails from Adim and currently the Special Adviser to the deputy Governor of Cross River State on New Media. As media personality, he has contributed towards promoting Biase as an LGA to the global Community. He is a youth activist and a committed peace and development advocate in Biase.

Inspector. Nelle Ezak: 
The Eximia Award Nominee for The passionate Protector Award

Inspector Nelle Ezak is a three times UNITED NATIONS (UN) and one time AFRICAN UNION (AU) MEDALIST. He is currently Serving as Officer In Charge of Deployment and Rotation of Peace keepers with the Nigerian Police Force Peace keeping Office, Force Headquarters Abuja. He has committed himself towards ensuring sustainable peace not only in Nigeria but across the continent of Africa.
